For GS Carolina, Shook Kelley provided master planning, architectural services, as well as assisting with the brand development and public engagement for Millbridge, a 250+ acre residential community in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
In the heart of Union County, NC, small town values and big city conveniences combine in this award-winning master planned community. Millbridge is a community that's active, fun and engaging for all, displaying southern charm in all its splendor while dining, education, entertainment and shopping are minutes away in downtown Waxhaw.
Millbridge won accolades as the 2019 Charlotte Community of the Year awarded by the Homebuilders Association of Greater Charlotte. It was also recognized that same year as a top selling master planned community by RCLCO Real Estate Advisors.
Millbridge has been thoughtfully designed according to time honored neighborhood planning principles. A variety of linear parks, squares and natural expanses anchor and identify neighborhood enclaves. Together, these parks form a planned system of connected greenways linking the neighborhoods, elementary school and town park to neighboring greenway communities within greater Waxhaw. Shook Kelley was also the conceptual designer for the residents clubhouse, swimming pool, airnasium and covered wooded bridge over Twelve Mile Creek.
